The DG model is a Guillotine Damper for between the flanges assembly on systems for gas conduit. The guillotine damper is widely utilized as a cutoff valve and to enable inspections, repairs and maintenance to conduits in gas conduit systems. There are barely any losses of load when the guillotine is fully open, leading to a completely clear conduit. Recommendation of guillotine dampers are not for purpose of regulation. The standard Guillotine Damper model by VALVETEK is designed to smoothly operate at about 500 mbar pressures, with suggested temperatures of up to 800C and speeds of below 30 m/s. It is a comparatively airtight valve with 90% to 99.5% closing degree. Design of the standard guillotine model of dedicated for assembly to be performed in a manner that sliding of gate happens vertically. There is also an option to place them in other fashion to enable horizontal sliding.

Standard Guillotine Damper:The standard guillotine damper is fitted with a gate which completely closes the conduit by sliding along metal guides. With the help of flanges, the ends are attached to the conduits. Normally supplied as an individual part, the guillotine damper is also offered for applications having the special transport requiring unit dimensions. Insulation can be done on the body of the guillotine damper from the external side utilizing a 200 mm insulated covering.

Construction:Being a fabricated construction, guillotine damper body can be manufactured by using various types of materials. Diameters rang for the standard construction is from 150 mm (min) to 2000 mm. But, larger sizes can be made as per the specifications asked.
Seal

Design:Step seat (closure of 99.5%) is available with the guillotines which is suitable for allied applications needing air tightness of high level.

Bonnet:Bonnets are made available with guillotine dampers to prevent gases to leak from the conduit. For events where collections of dust are anticipated at the bottom of the guillotine, there may also be provided an inspection cover to enable easy access for the purpose of cleaning.
